St. Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church

has been a faithful worshipping community in Broughty Ferry for over 150 years.

As well as offering space for worship, we are pleased to accept enquiries from community groups who wish to use our church building.

St. Mary's is in the Diocese of Brechin of The Scottish Episcopal Church, which is itself a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

You are very welcome to attend our worship services; currently, they are:

SUNDAY: 0830hrs - A Holy Communion (Eucharist) service set in traditional language.

We use the 1929 Scottish Prayer Book for a quiet, reflective service sans music.

SUNDAY: 1100hrs - A Holy Communion (Eucharist) service set in modern language.

Based on the 1982 Sevice (2022 edition), we pray quite a bit, out loud and in silence; we praise God just by gathering together in His name, but also with our voices through listening and SINGING!  Afterwards, you are invited to stay and refresh yourselves with snacks and drinks, in a time of fellowship.

First SUNDAY: 1700hrs - An Evening Prayer (Evensong) service set in traditional language.

We use the 1929 Scottish Prayer Book for a quiet, reflective service with hymns, plainsong and the occasional anthem.

WEDNESDAY: 1030hrs - A Holy Communion (Eucharist) service set in modern language.

Based on our 1982 Service Book (2022 edition), we offer a quiet and reflective worship, followed by refreshment.

Your calling is valued and valid!
Your calling is valued and valid!
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
